The Story of the Autograph
Nick Anderson is currently a relief pitcher in the major leagues with the Tampa Bay Rays. He’s been in the league since 2019 and has also played for the Miami Marlins.
Anderson was born and raised in Minnesota. He played college baseball with St. Cloud State University and Mayville State University. In 2012 he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 32nd round of the MLB Draft, but he never signed. Instead he decided to play in the independent minor leagues. He was then purchased by the Twin in 2015.
He played in the Twins minor league system for the few seasons and was trade to the Miami Marlins in 2018. He made the Opening Day roster for the fish in 2019 and made his major league debut on March 28, 2019. Midseason he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays.
He’s been great for the Rays since the trade and was a key piece in their run to the 2020 World Series. Unfortunately though he didn’t fare as well in the ALCS and World Series as the Rays lost to the Dodgers.

Nick was another current player who I found a home address for on SCF prior to the 2020 season and I decided to take a shot on him. It was funny because a few of these cards came back right around the same time. It seems like guys were clearing out their mail before leaving for their teams in the summer. This is a pretty strong one from Nick and I love that it has the Rookie Trophy on it.
