The Story of the Autograph
Mark Brouhard is a former major league outfielder. He played from 1980 to 1985 with the Milwaukee Brewers and then he played from 1986 to 1987 in Japan with the Yakult Swallows.
Brouhard was born and raised in southern California. He went to Los Angeles Pierce College where he was drafted by the Angels in the fourth round of the 1976 MLB Draft. He would never play for the Angels in the major though. The Brewers took him in the 1979 Rule 5 Draft in December of 1979 and he would appear in the majors for the first time the next season, debuting on April 12, 1980.
He would never play more than 66 games in a season and only topped 60 games twice in his career. His best season was in 1984 when he played in 56 games with seven home runs, 23 RBI and a .276 average (all career highs).
After the 1985 season he was purchased by the Yakult Swallows. These days Brouhard lives in southern California and owns a painting business.
The Score on Mark Brouhard – 6.0
There really isn’t too much to Mark’s signature. You can tell it’s his name pretty much but there isn’t much definition to it in general. Its also a bit smaller and he could fill up the card a little more. These cards do show an autograph really well though. It came out great on all of these cards.
Thanks Mr. Brouhard! I’m giving this return a 6.
