The Story of the Autograph
John Alt was born in Stuttgart, Germany and grew up in Minnesota. After playing high school in the Land of 1000 Lakes he went on to play his college ball at the University of Iowa with the Hawkeyes. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted him in the first round of the 1984 NFL Draft with the 21st overall pick.
Alt played in Kansas City for his whole career and was a left tackle. He protected the likes of Steve DeBerg and Joe Montana while with the Chiefs. He didn’t really become a full time starter until is fourth year in the league. From 1989 to 1993 he started every game for the Chiefs. Alt was a two-time Pro Bowler in 1992 and 1993 and was Second Team All-Pro in 1990.
After retiring he was a high school assistant in Minnesota. His son plays hockey in the NHL.

For a short name, John actually as a good size signature. I think what I am most happy with on these though is that these are all great cards to take an autograph. All of them show it off really well. I actually only had a couple cards to start and was glad I found a few more to send more. I normally try to make five cards my max.
