The Story of the Autograph

Jeff Reboulet is a former infielder in the major leagues. He played from 1992 to 2003 with the Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Reboulet is a native of Ohio. He went on to attend Triton College in Illinois and the on to LSU. He was first drafted by the Houston Astros in the 26th round of the 1985 MLB Draft but didn’t sign. The following year the Twins drafted him in the 19th round and he signed with them. He made his major league debut for them six years later on May 12, 1992.

He was mostly a utility infielder and backup during his career. He played every position except pitcher during his twelve years in the league and got into as many as 90 games in half of the seasons he played. His best seasons were in during his five spent in Minnesota with 1995 probably being the best of all of them. That year he hit a career .292 in 87 games with a career high four homers and 23 RBI.

For his career he put up a line of .240, 20 home runs, 202 RBI, 100 doubles, and 22 stolen bases in just over 1000 career games.

Jeff is definitely a guy who tries to find the best place to sign. You can tell because of the way he signed the 1993 Topps and 1993 Topps Stadium Club cards. He basically saw a spot on his leg, which when you think about it sometimes seems a bit awkward. I’m not the biggest fan of the thin marker, but these came out pretty well.

Thanks Mr. Reboulet! I’m giving this return a 6 overall because there are a few smudges.
