The Story of the Autograph
Jay Howell is a former right handed relief pitcher and closer in the major leagues. The three-time All-Star and World Series winner played from 1980 to 1994 with the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers.

The Score on Jay Howell – 5.5
Jay is a guy that I have tried to pay a little closer attention to what I send him. I don’t know how many he consistently signs and I sometimes I wonder if people focus it on teams or things you mention in the letter. For instance, I tried to focus this letter more on his time with the A’s. I don’t think this is Jay’s best effort ever, but still better than a lot of others.
