The Story of the Autograph
Gerald Williams is a former defensive lineman in the NFL. He played from 1986 to 1997 with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers.
Williams was born in Georgia and raised in Alabama. He went on to attend Auburn University and made the All-SEC team in 1986. He was then drafted by the Steelers with the 36th overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft. He played mostly nose tackle for the Steelers and first became a starter in the 1988 season. His best season with them was probably 1990 when he hit a career high for sacks with six and added 49 tackles.
After Pittsburgh he moved on to Carolina and was part of the Panthers first team in the 1995 season. After two and a half seasons with Carolina he spent his last half season in Green Bay.
In more recent years he’s been a coach. That included his time with the Division II Catawba Indians where he was the tight ends coach.

Gerald’s signature is very close together and then stacked. It makes it out to kind of seem the exact opposite of what you think of with a signature. Instead of thin (vertically) and long its tall and short. It definitely doesn’t make it easily to pick out that its his name.
