The Story of the Autograph

Gary Reasons is a former linebacker who played for the Giants and Bengals from 1984 through 1992. He’s best known as a Giant and two-time Super Bowl winner. He’s also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Reasons was born and raised in Texas and went to college at Northwestern State. He was the first player that made the Division I-AA All-America team while playing there. The Giants drafted him in 1984 with their fourth round pick.

He started 11 games as a rookie and was a big part of the Giants defense from the start. A couple of the biggest ones being a fourth-and-goal stop of Bobby Humphrey at Mile High Stadium in 1989. The other being a fourth quarter fake punt play in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers in 1991. That play helped send the Giants on their way to their second Super Bowl win against the Bills.

Gary has a nice and big signature and personalizes it. Football cards can always be so hard because of how busy or dark the cards are. One of my favorite football cards are the 1992 Pro Set cards so I really like that I had one of those for him to sign. That might be the best one of this lot.

Thanks Mr. Reasons! I’m giving this a 6.
