Dave Manson is a former defenseman in the NHL. He played for six different teams during his time in the league. From 1986 to 2002 he played for the Chicago Blackhawks (twice), Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Stars (twice), and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Manson is a native of Saskatchewan, Canada. He played his junior hockey with his hometown team, the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. The Blackhawks then drafted him in the 1985 NHL Draft and he would be with the team the following season. His first season he played in 63 games with one goal and eight assists.

He was never a goals scorer. The most goals he would ever score would be in his highest point season of 1988 when he had career highs with 18 goals, 36 assists and 54 points. He only ever score more than seven goals four times and those were all between 1988 and 1993.

After his time in Chicago he would be part of six trades through the rest of his career. He was traded in 1991, 1994, 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2001. Two of those trades were by the Blackhawks and two of those trades were also to the Dallas Stars.

These all came out pretty good from Dave. The hockey cards are busy but these cut through all that the best they could. The strong black marker looks great with the Blackhawks uniforms. I think the best of this bunch is either the 1990 Score or the 1990 Pro Set.

Thanks Mr. Manson! I’m giving this return a 6.5 overall.
