The Story of the Autograph
Dan Plesac played as a relief pitcher with the Brewers, Cubs Pirates, Jays (twice), Diamondbacks and Phillies. In the beginning of his career he was used a good amount as a closer, he did start a handful of games, then he played as a middle reliever/left-handed specialist. His career lasted from 1986 to 2003.
Dan grew up in Indiana playing baseball, basketball, football and track. He went to college at NC State in the early 80’s. He started out with the Brewers who took him from starter to closer. His first few years were great. His ERA was under 3.00 for the first four years he was in the league. He also picked up 30 and 33 saves two years in a row. That was good enough to earn him three appearances in the All-Star game from 1987 to 1989.
These days if you’ve watched the MLB Network, you’ve probably seen Dan. I love watching him. He has good commentary and he looks like e as a lot of fun with everyone on set.
An interesting fact I found… Dan never spent any time on the disabled list for his entire career.
The Score on Dan Plesac – 5.0
Dan is a great signer. I don’t think I’ve ever had a failure and I’ve always sent to the MLB Network address. But like some other recent signatures, Dan as a really small signature. It’s got some flash, but it’s also one of those signatures that you can really pick out as being his name. It looks like I snuck in one more card than my normal five.
I’m giving these a 5. Thanks Mr. Plesac.
