The Story of the Autograph
Scott Leius is a former infielder in the majors leagues. He played for nine seasons between 1990 and 1999 with the Twins, Indians and Royals.
Leius was born and raised in New York. He attended Concordia College and while there he was was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the thirteenth round of the 1986 MLB Draft. He then spent four season in the minor leagues before his debut on September 3, 1990.
The 1991 season was his first big opportunity to get playing time. He made it into 109 games for the team that would eventually win the World Series. Leius ended up playing a big part in it when he hit a homer off of Tom Glavine that broke up a tie game in the eighth inning of Game 2.
From there his playing time fluctuated a bit throughout the rest of this time in Minnesota. But before he closed out his time there he did have a career year in 1994 for a .246 average, 14 home runs and 49 RBI in 97 games (most of those career highs). He moved on to the Indians in free agency but was out of baseball in 1997. He made it back with the Royals in 1998 and 1999 with the Royals.
The Score on Scott Leius – 6.5
This return from Scott is a great case of the marker fitting the signature really well. His signature is a bit bubbly in a way and that big fat marker really accentuates that style of signature that he has. It just feels like to me that the ends of all the marker lines are nice and bubbly too. My favorite of this lot is the 1993 Fleer card.
Thanks Mr. Leius! I’m giving this return a 6.5 overall.
