I know it might sound crazy, or it does when you realize I live in Northern Virginia, but I got out on the water this week. I took some time off and I helped a buddy move his sail boat from where he docks it to where he puts it for the winter.
It was just a quick trip and it was a little chilly out there, but still fun. It’s actually been pretty warm and we’ve been really lucky the last week with weather. So it was nice to take some time off and try to get away from some work and stuff.
Of course tomorrow I will pay for it. I already know my emails are a bit backed up. That said, it was nice not to pay attention to it.
If you are taking time off… make it Paid Time Off (PTO) and not Pretend Time Off. You deserve it and you need to get a break.
Stay safe out there!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Mark Gubicza
- Tuesday: Mark Lee, Mark Knudson
- Wednesday: Danny Darwin
- Thursday: Andrei Kirilenko
- Friday: Fred Stanley
- Saturday: Alan Bannister
- Sunday: Pete O’Brien
The Brew Crew made up this week’s #twofortuesday. That said, the Rangers could have been another choice and they both ended up being the weekend posts. I didn’t get an article posted like I had been and I even had some time off to try to do that.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: I love Lamp…
- Tuesday: Forsch Majeure…
- Tuesday: The Sims…
- Wednesday: Look at the big brain on Brad…
- Thursday: Prior to that…
- Friday: Murphy’s Law…
- Saturday: Got off Scott free…
- Sunday: He fits the Bill…
No theme for the week or for the #twofortuesday this week. Hopefully I’ll get out an extra article post. I know over the next two weekends I’ll be travelling so I’m just hoping to be able to keep up with these posts if I can.
Other Notes
22 successes for the week is definitely not shabby, but it’s also not some of the totals I’d been seeing lately. It’s nothing to sneeze at though and I’ll take that and a good start to December. November finished pretty strong and I think I topped October which was an awesome month on it’s own.
This week there were only two stragglers and they were both the same person: Bruce Bochte. One of them was out for 693 days and the other for 365. What’s crazy is that I just sent another to him so I wonder how long that will be out. I really try not to send out cards on top of each other like that but to be honest I do a lot of that by memory and I don’t go back and check what I sent. With sending more cards out these days I definitely don’t have the memory for all of that.
The new Recent TTM Success is updated. I missed the first Sunday that I put it up but I’ve been pretty good the last two weeks. I’m hoping people are finding that helpful.
Have a great week!
