The Story of the Autograph

Terrell Brandon is a former professional basketball player. He played in the NBA from 1991 through 2002 with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Brandon was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I high school he helped his team to the 1988 Class AAA championship and was Oregon high school player of the year. He went to Oregon and helped the Ducks to the NIT as a freshman and was the first to leave the school early for the NBA.

In 1991 the Cleveland Cavaliers drafted him with the 11th overall pick of the NBA Draft. He started out as the backup to Mark Price, and made the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. But in 1994-95 he filled in for him while Price was hurt and helped the Cavs to an 11-game win streak and the Cavaliers would move Price in the off-season. He went on to become two-time All-Star with Cleveland (1996, 1997). He also won the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 1997.

In September of 1997 he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. Unfortunately he was a bit limited by injuries. While he wanted to stay in Milwaukee, the Bucks didn’t think they could re-sign him. In March of 1999 the Bucks traded Brandon to Minnesota. He and Kevin Garnett helped Minnesota to their first 50-win season in 1999-2000. But injuries kept limiting his playing time and after hitting the injury list in 2002 he didn’t return.

These days he runs a Barbershop in Portland. He also is a real estate developer and has his own company.

Terrell has a pretty good signature with a good size. But of course, these basketball cards are always so dark. They always seem to show off pretty well in picture, but in person for some reason they are a lot different. Still, this one came out nice and I just have to find a card that will take a signature a lot better.

Thanks Mr. Brandon! I’m giving this return a 5.5.
