The Story of the Autograph

Scott Williams is a former forward/center in the NBA. He played from 1990 to 2005 with the Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Dever Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Williams is a native a California. He led his high school basketball team to state title and was a McDonald’s All-American in 1986. From there he went to North Carolina. His parents died tragically at the beginning of his freshman hear when his father shot his mother and then committed suicide. He was just 19 years old at the time.

He would get to the Bulls after going undrafted in 1990. It was a great time to be a Bull as the dynastyic teams led by Michael Jordan were just hitting their championship stride. He would win three NBA Championships in those first four seasons in Chicago. He was always mostly a bench player and a few times in his career he averaged over 20 minutes per game. His points per game average was over seven just three times in his career.

After a little more than half of his career with significant time in Chicago, Philly, and Milwaukee, he started bouncing around quite a lot for the rest of his career.

After played he’s been an assistant coach in the NBA Developmental League and in the NBA. He currenlty is a color analyst for Grand Canyon University basketball.

The Score on Scott Williams – 6.5

This was a nice one from Scott, but the card doesn’t really give him a good shot at showing off his signature. I really wish I had more of his cards. But what I found was I actually somehow have a lot of this one card. At least its with him on the Bulls in a championship year.

Thanks Mr. Williams! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
