The Story of the Autograph
Ron Gant is a former outfielder in the major leagues. The two-time All-Star and one-time Silver Slugger played in 16 seasons from 1987 to 2003 with the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Anaheim Angels, Colorado Rockies, Oakland Athletics (twice) and San Diego Padres.

Ron is consistent… consistently good and consistently quick. He also consistently signs in about the same type of place on the card. In a lot of cases that’s right over him and right over where a lot of the action is on the card. A lot of times that just makes it hard to pick out the signature very well. Take that 1990 Leaf card, I think that would look even better if he signed it like and inch lower.
