The Story of the Autograph

Roger Bailey is a former right-handed pitcher in the major leagues. He worked as both a starter and a reliever in his three seasons with the Colorado Rockies.

Bailey is a native of Chattahoochee, Florida. He stayed in state for college and went to Florida State University to play ball for the Seminoles. The Rockies then selected him in the third round of the 1992 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut two years later on April 27, 1995.

To start his career he worked mostly as a reliever in his first season when he went 7-6 with a 4.98 ERA in 39 games with six starts. He had a somewhat down year the following season with less appearances and a few more starts. Then in 1997 he was purely a starter and in 29 games, all starts, he went 9-10 with a 4.29 ERA. He played his final major league game on September 24, 1997.

The Score on Roger Bailey – 5.5

This is a tough one from Roger. The Bowman card is pretty much black. These pictures always show it a bit better than what it looks like in real life. The 1995 Fleer card is a bit better, but those are the most busy cards you could ever find. Definitely not ideal for TTMing. But when you are short on cards you have to use what you’ve got.

Thanks Mr. Bailey! I’m giving this return a 5.5.
