I have to say I was pretty proud of myself this week. I actually got some additional posts out. I’ve had a struggle with doing that for several months. It’s actually had me miss some opportunities to do certain posts and it’s pretty much too late to go do them. So I was doing a portion of the work and then not following through.
I did want to say Rest in Peace to John Stearns. The “Bad Dude” was a good player on some bad Mets teams during his time in New York. I never got a chance to meet him, but by all accounts he was a good guy. I’m really glad that he was able to get to Old Timer’s Day last month and be back with all his mates again. I’m sure that was special to him as much as it was to the fans.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Steve Atwater
- Tuesday: Larry Walker, Jabar Gaffney
- Wednesday: Josh Fogg
- Thursday: Roger Bailey, Purchase: Ryan’s Vintage Cards
- Friday: Steve Reed
- Saturday: Danny Schayes
- Sunday: Jeff Reed
#rockymountainhigh week was pretty fun. I got almost all the Denver/Colorado sports in except for Hockey with the Avalanche. I definitely don’t have much that new for hockey though. I guess I didn’t have any soccer either, but I really don’t have any of that.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Tend to the Gardenhire…
- Tuesday: Don’t Nicholls and dime me…
- Tuesday: Nate the great…
- Wednesday: Getting off Scott free…
- Thursday: Sam the man…
- Friday: Skywalker…
- Saturday: Way to go Joe…
- Sunday: I’ll have a Lageman bartender…
We’re moving on to New York this week with the theme of #newyorkstateofmind. That is New York state too and not just New York city. Some of the above are pretty generic clues I guess so good luck with that. I think we’ll get in a bunch of sports and a bunch of teams.
Other Notes
This week was a bit back to normal with eighteen returns. There was some good stuff in there with a little bit of everything… current players (Jonathan Villar), coaches (Buck Showalter), extreme stragglers (Ryan Raburn at 1846) and a paid return (Bill Lee).
The new Recent TTM Success is updated.
Have a great week!
