Do you ever wonder about how mail even gets to you sometimes? Like after you see it, sometimes it looks like its been to Hell and back?
With all the rain around here in recent weeks I’ve had some wet envelopes where the cards survived with no issues and then some others that look like they were dumped in a puddle. That made me think about some of the other ones that have come back over the years. There have been some envelopes that have had the end chopped off and surprisingly the contents are complete intact.
It just surprises me when you think about that stuff and then you think about how much stuff actually comes back to you in a PWE without issue. There were definitely some bends and folds this week but surprise, surprise – no issues.
What’s the craziest envelope that you’ve ever had comeback and the cards survived OK?
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Keith Millard
- Tuesday: Ray Berry, Carl Lee
- Wednesday: Rich Karlis
- Thursday: Scott Studwell
- Friday: Darrell Jackson
- Saturday: Glenn Borgmann
- Sunday: Frank Viola
This past week was #landof10000lakes week and celebrating Minnesota. So obviously it was filled with Vikings and Twins. I normally post them in the order I got them but it’s funny how this week ended up being all Vikings and then all Twins.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: A Seinfeld movie with a stutter…
- Tuesday: One of the Neons…
- Tuesday: Dulce de Lachey…
- Wednesday: A Double D…
- Thursday: Up Schmidt’s Creek…
- Friday: Two different guys in two different maroon and gold/yellow uniforms…
- Saturday: A quick Golden Domer, a recent Nittany Lion, and a Golden Gopher…
- Sunday: Another Golden Domer, and a Houston cat…
I’m doing something a bit different this week. I figured it was time to catch up on some returns I’ve been skipping because they are a bit older (just skipping because they don’t fall in with the themes). But also to it’s about back to school time so towards the end of the week I’m going to hit some recent cards that picture guys in school.
Other Notes
Well, it was back to some USPS problems this week. I didn’t get mail on Thursday and then I got Friday and then it followed up on Saturday. That meant for a pretty big day on Saturday which was nice. It’s annoying when it happens but then the big day kind of makes you forget about that a little.
I’m up to 239 in my backlog. A catch up week this week will help that a little. I’m excited to see how the month finished out with the metrics because it’s been a really good month from a feel perspective.
Stay safe and healthy out there!
