In this episode of “Well-timed PTO”…
So my wife’s been complaining about how her stomach has felt recently. Then early Thursday morning she had trouble sleeping and her stomach pain felt a bit worse. But she went to work anyway. Then she came home early and ended up going to urgent care. Well, it turned out to be appendicitis.
So how does this relate to my PTO… well, I had planned to take the day off Friday. While I don’t think anyone wants to spend that time in the hospital with a sick family member, thank God I didn’t have to figure out how to get around work that day and I could just concentrate on being their for my wife.
Appendix is out now and she is recovering well thankfully.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Pat Jarvis
- Tuesday: Tony Granato, Terry Leach
- Wednesday: Al Hrabosky
- Thursday: Pat Combs
- Friday: Henry Cotto
- Saturday: Dick Bosman
- Sunday: Bryn Smith
This was an all baseball week. I kind of randomly got through some old returns in the backlog. Not the oldest, but definitely not the newest. Although Terry Leach was from this summer. The others though were from last summer.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Chopping some Woodson…
- Tuesday: Look at the big brain on Brad…
- Tuesday: Oh no, you took a Spilborghs…
- Wednesday: Send in the Calbert-ry
- Thursday: Of the River…
- Friday: In like Clint…
- Saturday: Ramage, Inc…
- Sunday: Bobby Bob…
No theme for the #twofortuesday this week. I’m just digging through the oldest stuff in the backlog.
Other Notes
The month closed out with an OK week of returns. 15 isn’t so bad, but I’d like to have at least three more to keep the page up. But overall it closed out a pretty good month. Hopefully I can get to reviewing the month this coming week.
There were some stragglers this week. One was a success from Manny Trillo at 207 days. The other was a failure from Gene Clines. Unfortunately Gene passed away in January and I had sent to him last October. Sorry to hear that for the family.
The new Recent TTM Success is updated.
Have a great week!
