Loving all the holidays we have now in the Spring and Summer. At least I’m getting them at my job. I think it helps to break up a time when a lot of people are starting to take some time off anyway. Unfortunately I wasn’t smart enough to think ahead and take advantage.
Still, I’m trying to use the extra time to catch up on some blog stuff and get ahead. I wish I could say I was using it to plan ahead for some new content. It’s actually mostly prepping the future day to day stuff.
Back to enjoying the weekend…
Hope you are all having a great holiday weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Brian Propp
- Tuesday: Ed Halicki, Ron Hextall
- Wednesday: Don Carman
- Thursday: Jeff Reed
- Friday: Eddie Taubensee
- Saturday: Paul Assenmacher
- Sunday: Bill Sampen
It was either baseball or hockey this week. Some old favorites were mixed in but a few new names too.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: I feel like a Sammie for lunch…
- Tuesday: A Ewing doing…
- Tuesday: The Bruce is loose…
- Wednesday: I don’t Gott to do nothin’…
- Thursday: Whatever you do, don’t say Dumb-rowski…
- Friday: You ain’t much if you ain’t Dutch…
- Saturday: I want Andy…
- Sunday: Take your Dayley vitamins…
While last week was all baseball or hockey, this one is going to be all football or baseball. Still just working my way through the backlog.
Other Notes
This was a really good week. That’s partially because it was a full week. There’s been some holiday weeks that make for less mail days, definitely more that we are used to. So that just makes things feel a bit all or nothing.
This week was a 24 return week. That is a good bit above what I’m expecting to get. I did get two failures at the end of the week as well. I think one (Jody Davis) could be charging now and the other (Brad Shaw) has moved to Canada. Other than that there were a few big stragglers with Sean Casey (704 days), Roy Hinson (431 days), Sonny Jackson (300 days) and Terry Leach (202 days) topping the list. And now that I think about it I think Informed Deliver had two more that I should have received that I didn’t.

Have a great week!
