This is a test… this is only a test.
Well, it’s more than that, but you’ll get my point.
This weekend my wife took my oldest to Virginia’s Governor’s School. They were chosen for the theater program and that means that they get to spend a month at a Virginia college with a couple hundred other chosen theater kids. Seems like a pretty fun gig! But the best part is they are going to be a senior this year and this is going to get to give them a little taste of what college is like.
Sure, they won’t have to worry about all sorts of different classes, but they will be really focused on theater classes. And maybe it’s only a month and they will be pretty . But they get to experience some of the roomate/dorm things and getting the experience of being on campus and all that. It’s almost like grown up camp in a way. They are going to have so much fun.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to go because my youngest came down with Covid and I stayed home with them. I’m very proud of them and I can’t wait for them to have a great time.
Hope you are all having a great weekend.
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Luis Tiant, Card Thoughts: 1991-92 Pro Set Hockey – Hot or Not?
- Tuesday: Gary Neibauer, Ricky Proehl
- Wednesday: Howard Johnson
- Thursday: Eric Weinrich
- Friday: Rollie Fingers
- Saturday: Chris Welsh
- Sunday: Scott Downs
A kind of diverse week from a sports perspective but I was missing some basketball. It was actually a little hockey heavy with a hockey post and a Card Thoughts post about hockey. I had been trying to get that one out for a while actually. There were three paid returns too that I was finally getting to in the backlog from Luis Tiant, Howard Johnson and Rollie Fingers.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Give him his Propps…
- Tuesday: Mr. Ed…
- Tuesday: I’ll put a Hextall on you…
- Wednesday: A night at the opera…
- Thursday: Reed all about it…
- Friday: Taking a soak in the Taubensee…
- Saturday: I’ll kick your Assenmacher…
- Sunday: This one fits the Bill…
This will be another week with multiple hockey posts. Still working through the backlog.
Other Notes
Since there was a mail holiday on Monday, this was a bit of a lighter week. I got 14 successful returns back and one failure. There were a couple good stragglers and some real surprises in there. Lenn Sakata returned after 380 days and Mark Macon returned after 406 days. My failure was from Bernie Carbo. It’s looks like he’s moved so I was able to get that back out in the mail to the new address the Post Office but in the sticker.
The new Recent TTM Success is updated.
Have a great week!
