Review / Preview – Week of 10/4

TTM Review Preview

I feel like “it’s that time of year” for the “it’s that time of year” type of things. I listen to the My Brother, My Brother, and Me (or MBMBAM) podcast and they always joke about when Fall actually starts. But then there’s all the conversation about when stores have decorations and things like that.

I say this on my daughter’s 14th birthday and this morning I went out to get her an iced pumkin chai latte type of thing for her morning coffee as a treat. She is so down with “Fall” things. In some ways its surprising because you might expect that some people would be sick of that stuff, but she embraces everything fall. She loves pumpkin spice and fall weather and all that. So no matter what time that time of year starts… she is down with it.

This weekend also marked the 12th anniversary of my band. In 2009 we started as a band to play a neighborhood Rocktoberfest event so that one of the band members could try to be better than another band he had been in. Now three of us are still part of the band and we’ve added my brother to play bass. But the crazy part was that we were in the exact same spot almost 12 years to the day, just without the same stage.

Hope you had a good week!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

There was no special theme for the whole week this time around. But there was a Cubbies themed #twofortuesday and I put together a #womensweekend with TTM posts from three women I hadn’t posted yet. Kind of fitting that came together on the latest Women’s March in DC from this weekend.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Bowa Fett…
  • Tuesday: #houghistough…
  • Tuesday: Soup…
  • Wednesday: Old Tyner’s Day…
  • Thursday: Stoddard’s and Practices…
  • Friday: We Aase the questions…
  • Saturday: Call me Al…
  • Sunday: Bri Guy…

Wow, a lot of these are REALLY obvious. No special theme this week and I couldn’t really think of a good #twofortuesday post.

Other Notes

This week was a little more in the normal range of what I used to see with 17 returns. That got saved a bit by the seven that I got on Saturday. I’ve been having some more mail issues so I think I might have to really start tracking what I’m not getting and what I think is extra (or not showing in Informed Delivery). With the announcement of the changing of the mail starting this weekend, I feel like if they say they are going to get something to you they better.

I had some more good coaching/team returns this week with Mike Jeffcoat and Wes Helms coming back from minor league teams. Both of them were guys that I tried before with no success so I’m glad that turned around. Other than that Jack Youngblood, Dan Pastorini, Andy Russell and Dan Fouts were all fun football returns. Andy Russell was actually a sort of Sunday return because my neighbor brought it over that day because they received it (speaking of the mail issues).

Have a great week!
