The Story of the Autograph

Mickey Weston is a former right-handed pitcher in the major leagues. He played from 1989 to 1993 with the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets.

Weston was born and raised in Michigan. He wenst on to attend Eastern Michigan where he was drafted by the Mets in the 1982 MLB Draft. He played several years in the minor leagues with the Mets and never made it to the majors. In 1988 he became a free agent and the Orioles picked him up. He made debuted with them the following year on June 18, 1989.

He spent to seasons with the Orioles and played in a sixteen games with them. That’s more than two thirds of the appearances he had in his career. He was traded to Toronto the following year and then bounced around to two other teams. But was pretty much always a quad-A player and never really stayed in the majors that much.

He played in his final major league game on May 9, 1993 for the Mets.

Mickey does a good job filling up your card with some ink. But I think the best card of the bunch is actually the card he added. That’s the customer card with the bible verse/testimonial on the back. I think of the card I requested him to sign the 1990 Score card is my favorite.

Thanks Mr. Weston! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
