The Story of the Autograph
Joey Wendle is a major league second baseman who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Rays. He’s been in the league since 2016 and previously played for the Oakland Athletics.
Wendle was born in Wilmington, DE and grew up in Pennsylvania. He went to West Chester University and help the school win to the NCAA Division II Baseball Tournament. The Indians drafted him in 2012 in the sixth round. In 2013 he won the Lou Boudreau Award as the Indians minor league player of the year.
In December of 2014 the Indians traded him to the A’s. In 2016 he would make his major league debut with them on August 31st. But he would only be with the A’s until 2017 and was later traded to the Rays.
Wendle really got a great shot in the majors last year. He played in 139 games and hit .300 with seven home runs and 61 RBI. He finished fourth in the Rookie of the Year voting.
INTERESTING 2019 STAT: As of me writing this, Wendle leads the league in HBP with 2 after just one game.

Joey has a good autograph and used a great marker. What I think I like best is that he has a good-sized autograph. I hope I can find a better card to show it off because the size of it will make it look really good when it can stand out.
