The Story of the Autograph

Dan Campbell is a former Tight End in the National Football League and is currently the Tight Ends Coach for the New Orleans Saints. During his playing days from 1999 to 2009 he played with the Giants, Cowboys, Lions and Saints.

Campbell was born and raised in Texas and played at both tailback and tight end in high school. He went to Texas A&M. The Giants drafted him in the 1999 NFL Draft with the 79th overall pick in the 3rd round. He started four games for a team that went to the Super Bowl and lost to the Ravens. Later, in 2002, he blocked for Kerry Collins as he set a franchise record in passing yards and Tiki Barber as he reached the second best rushing total in franchise history.

He moved to Dallas when Bill Parcells was named the coach of the Cowboys in 2003. He played alongside Jason Witten and spent three seasons in Dallas. From there he moved on to Detroit and then finally the Saints where he reunited with Sean Payton who was his OC with Dallas. He was injured in August but still got his Super Bowl ring when the Saints won it all that year.

He’s been mostly a tight ends coach with Miami and New Orleans since retiring but was also the interim head coach in Miami in 2015.

The Score on Dan Campbell – 5.5

Dan’s score for this one is really all about the size and on this one he can’t really help that. It’s also pretty dark where he had to sign. I think he did the best he could with what this card gave him.

Thanks Mr. Campbell! I’m giving this one a 5.5.
