The Story of the Autograph
Anthony Telford is a former right-handed pitcher in the majors leagues. He played from 1990 through 2002 with the Orioles, Expos and Rangers.
Telford was born and rased in San Jose, California. After high school he stayed close to home and attended San Jose State University. The Orioles drafted him in the third round of the 1987 MLB Draft. Three years later he made his major league debut on August 19, 1990. He started all eight of the games he pitched in that first year and went 3-3 with a 4.95 ERA.
He would only start one more game in his career the next season. After that he worked mostly in long relief. He spent 1992 in the minors and was back up with Baltimore for three games in 1993. After that he was out of the majors until 1997. He bounced around to three other teams before finding his way to the Expos where he ended up finding a place and spending the bulk of his career.
More recently Telford was a pitching coach in the minors and then worked with the Pirates as a Personal Development Coordinator.
The Score on Anthony Telford – 7.5
Anthony has a pretty fancy style of signature. I think the thin marker really adds to that feel. It’s actually a pretty bubbly signature too. I feel like a thicker marker would make him make the signature a bit bigger, but he would lose some detail in his signature as well.
Thanks Mr. Telford! I’m giving this return a 7.5.
