I feel like I’m behind on so many things these days. One of those things tends to be this blog. I’m keeping up OK, but behind the scenes its a little different.
You might say that it’s just the blog and your hobby… who cares. But I care about it a whole lot more than my normal work. That might not be a surprise, but I’d rather spend more time on this than work. There’s a few things I’ve wanted to get to over the last few years that I never got onto my plate to do.
So I’m trying to dedicate just a little time every day to it. Instead of really catching up a lot on the weekends. A little bit everyday once the family stuff slows down will help me feel like I’m getting more done.
Hope you guys are having a great weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: David Lutz
- Tuesday: Rocket Ismail, Jim Eppard
- Wednesday: Steve Shields
- Thursday: Dennis Gentry
- Friday: Bobby Hansen
- Saturday: Uwe Blab
- Sunday: Rick Upchurch
No theme for the week or the #twofortuesday this week. I had everything except hockey come up this week, but that will change a bit for next week.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: A little bit Soff-ter now…
- Tuesday: Free Sampens…
- Tuesday: Sand Cassels…
- Wednesday: Whoa… hee na…
- Thursday: Van Horn Industries…
- Friday: Dineening out…
- Saturday: JJ… Dyn-o-mite…
- Sunday: Balboni-aroni…
I got another week that happens to have a #twofortuesday theme. This week it will be all Montreal with the Expos and Canadiens being represented as I work through the backlog.
Other Notes
Back to a little bit more of a slow week. This week I got 14 returns but only 12 of them were successes. Not the worst of weeks by any means, but also not the past two successful weeks that I had either.
The two failures I got were from Jim Bakken and Dave Christian. I think I just got the address wrong for Jim Bakken. I got that one back out this week with what I hope is the right address. The other was from Dave Christian. That came back in my return note with none of the cards signed and no note about a fee or anything like that. I’m not sure if that is normal for him, but I know I’ve had another failure for him in the past like that. I guess I will give up on that one.
Now for the straggler report. I got two that I consider stragglers. The first was the first one back this week from Scott Hatteberg. I sent to the A’s team address back in 2021. That one took 957 days to come back. The other was from Randal Hill and that was only over a year at 430 days. Still alot, but half of Hatteberg’s number.
