The Story of the Autograph
Thane Gash is a former safety in the National Football League. He played from 1988 to 1991 with the Cleveland Browns and then from 1992 to 1993 with the San Francisco 49ers.
Gash was born and raised in North Carolina. After high school he attended East Tennessee State University. He was then drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the seventh round of the 1988 NFL Draft.
He would only start in one game his first season in the league, but in year two and three with the Browns he was a starter. His best season was 1989 when he caught three interceptions and took two of them to the house for the only two touchdowns in his career. He was one of the team’s leading tacklers while playing.
He didn’t play in the 1991 season. While lifting weights he suffered a herniated disc and it required surgery. The Browns didn’t plan to bring him back and he signed with San Francisco in 1992.
The Score on Thane Gash – 7.0
This is a tough one from a reading perspective. The last name seems like ti works out, although that 1990 Fleer card only seems like its a “G”. But it’s the first name that makes it hard. I guess that first letter is a “T”. It’s not traditional probably because of the way he connects it to the other letters in his first name. These cards came out really well though, especially for football cards. The best one is the 1991 Score card.
Thanks Mr. Gash! I’m giving this return a 7.
