Review / Preview – Week of 6/9

TTM Review Preview

Its been a good summer weekend… and it’s not even summer yet. We had just a little bit of rain and a threat of thunderstorms (which we could still get), but for the most part it was a good weekend.

My band was supposed to have a gig, but it was looking like Saturday was going to be rainy and since the event was outdoors it was cancelled. So we used the time to practice and build up our set list for another gig we have coming up.

We’re getting to play at a good club around here with a bunch of bands, but each band has to play a different genre. We picked New Wave. That is definitely not our wheelhouse but we are going to make it work. Plus its an excuse to expand the set list in a different direction. Unfortunately our first practice was not as fruitful as we would have liked. But sometimes you need to play things to see if they are going to work at all and if not, just move on.

I hope everyone is enjoyed their weekend and has a great week!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

The #twofortuesday posts last week were all “Strong Island” with the Islanders and Mets appearing. I also had a “Two for Thursday” by mistake. I missed posting something Wednesday because of my work schedule and I had to post two the next day. I hadn’t missed a day in a really long time.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Lighten up, Francis..
  • Tuesday: Fahey to black…
  • Tuesday: Double D…
  • Wednesday: Goobie, Goobie, Goo…
  • Thursday: Get up off the Matlack…
  • Friday: Terrell-ble twos…
  • Saturday: Jacke and Jill…
  • Sunday: So many n’s…

There’s no #twofortuesday this coming week. Just trying to get through some of the oldest stuff as it comes up in the backlog. A lot of multiple returns posts though.

Other Notes

This was a bit of an in between week, but on the low side. I got back 13 returns, with 12 of them being successes. The failure was from Gene Washington and I didn’t have a better address to try for him.

As for the other things I look at… Tim Foli was the only straggler at 211 days, just over my threshold. I didn’t get any paid returns back but I did get a team return back from David Shaw via the Bruins, though I don’t know if that was just an alumni address maybe and he is not formally with the team.

The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.

Have a great week!
