Review / Preview – Week of 5/31

TTM Review Preview

One of my buddies was talking with his kids recently and I think they saw a baseball card and kind of thought about an autograph. I can’t remember exactly how it came up, but he said something like, “well, actually…” and then showed them my Instagram account. They immediately went and found something they wanted to get signed.

So I went through my doubles and found some guys that are pretty regular signer and then I put together a package. Paper, envelopes, stamps, cards… the whole nine yards. I eve put together some instructions for them.

So this week I got a report back, THEY GOT THEIR FIRST SUCCESSES BACK! One tried Pat Neshek and the other Kevin McReynolds and they came back on the same day. So now I think they are going to each try the same guys again but switch it up.

I’m glad they are excited to get them back. We’ll see how long they keep it going. But if they do, I can wait to put together some more cards to send them. Now I’m having fun keeping up with someone else’s success!

Hope you have a great week! Stay safe!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

Unfortunately this week the death of Mark Eaton brought out an extra post. I had one pending in the backlog for him and instead of letting it wait around and get awkward I decided to post it in more of a tribute. RIP, Mr. Eaton.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Monday, Monday…
  • Tuesday: Old Mother Hubbard…
  • Tuesday: Joe Moe…
  • Wednesday: Feelin’ Randy?
  • Thursday: Roy Boy…
  • Friday: Blue Jay…
  • Saturday: The Bruce is loose…
  • Sunday: Check out the big brain on Brad…

So instead of planning for my #twofortuesday, this time I planned for the Monday. It’s probably pretty obvious if you know who signs and you know who might be named with a day of the week.

Other Notes

This was not so good a week. May turned out to be a blech month on the success front.  I only got back seven successes. Of course the mail was back to not coming on Monday. And then I never got the cards that I was supposed to get on Monday. Hopefully they are just at my new neighbor’s house and I’ll get them later.

May had two good weeks and two bad weeks. Overall it wasn’t too bad but the beginning and end sort of put a damper on things. I’ve just recently gone back through cards to plan the next set of things to go out so I’m excited to see if that refreshes things. I’m also putting some time into current coaches and broadcasters and taking some shots there. We’ll see how it turns out.

Have a great week!
