Review / Preview – Week of 4/13

TTM Review Preview

So it was Spring Break in my house. I have to say house because it’s not like we are going anywhere. I was supposed to be in New York and taking the family to show. Tickets to the show were their Christmas present to so that’s double bad. It’s not like we won’t make it up to them and do it later, but it adds an extra bit of suck onto all this.

Spring Break has kind of felt a month long in some ways too. Our schools cancelled for a day, then two weeks, then a month. The county has been trying to figure out delivering remotely and they started to test it out a week ago. But the 14th is supposed to be the “go live” for remote learning in earnest so we’ll see how that goes.

I hope your finding a way to get yourself past “suck” and finding things to make the best you can out of this. One thing we have been doing is having our kids watch movies we like. When I started to think about that I was kind of like, “I don’t want to watch that again” or “right now”, but it’s become something really fun. I get to watch them laugh at jokes I repeat constantly for the first time. Or be surprised or scared of something. Or figure out a mystery.

It’s messed up being stuck here, but we’re trying to make the best out of it.

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

There were some really reliable and quick TTMs from last week. Bryn Smith, Billy Sample, and Jerry Reed are really good to us collectors. At this point these are from a before all this craziness started but I’ve seen others get returns from them more recently.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Gary Roe the boat ashore…
  • Tuesday: Gr… ay?…
  • Wednesday: A great DB…
  • Thursday: No chance Rance…
  • Friday: Georgie Porgie…
  • Saturday: Marc and Jill went up the Hill…
  • Sunday: Todd the Godd…

These are probably getting harder to make than they are to guess in some cases.

Other Notes

Things definitely picked back up again this week. And I’m back to sending a few things out. I got some supplies back so my “break” lasted about two weeks (ish). I’m trying to use social media more than ever to figure out who to send to at this point. I’m halfway keeping with some planned requests and then changing them based on some other returns I see.

My backlog is still going up and is at 132.

Hope you and your families stay healthy!
