This was a good and bad week for some of the teams I follow this week. First the good… I love Spring Training and it’s nice to see the games get going. I also love that Juan Soto homered in his first at bat. Can’t start a story better than that I think. I just hope that the story keeps on an upward trajectory.
As for the bad, George Mason basketball stumbled a bit this week on the men’s and women’s sides. Both teams lost and that is going to make it really tough to get into the tournament without winning the A10 Tournament. I don’t think either is a two-bid conference this year. I would have thought the women might be closer this year but the last time I looked they were among the first four out. Just hoping not to end the season in a disappointing way.

There’s no #twofortuesday theme for this week. Just getting through some of the oldest in the backlog. The posts will have more of a basketball feel than I normally get to though.
Other Notes
I had another good week of returns. While the total number was down with 18 returns, none of them were failures. That’s a big change from recent weeks where I would get three failures. But getting three failures in a week is a bit abnormal for me, even with getting more failures in general.
As for the other numbers, I had a big straggler this week. I got back two returns on the same day from Orlando Merced. One was out since March of 2020 and came back after 1786 days. That’s two weeks in a row with some big straggler numbers. But that was the only one that I got back. I also got back a paid return from Ray Burris. And lastly I got back two team returns. I got one from Dave Taylor via the Blues and the other from Keenan McCardell via the Vikings.
