Super Bowl Sunday my friends! I think the most fun part of the day will be the prep for the game and eating. But the most painful part of the day might be the actual watching of the game.
I need to decide who to root for. For Philly, as I Giants fan I just can’t do that. In fact, it will probably be schadenfreude for most if not all of the game. But unlike some Giants fans, I am rooting for Saquon. He’s a good dude and I’m happy he’s having success. I really don’t like fans that are so bitter and I am trying not to be that kind of person/fan. So I would like to see him have a good game. He’s fun to watch.
As for Kansas City, in a way I root for them because everyone else seems not too. I love/hate people who complain about how many calls they get and all the conspiracies. Give it a rest! So them succeeding would just give so much to the people that say they hate them or are rooting against them. Again, a bit of schadenfreude on my part there. Its maybe my favorite thing.
But if I have to make a prediction… I think the Eagles will win. I will guess the score at 27-21 and I don’t even know if it will be that close. I think the Chiefs have 13 points going into the end and they score a touchdown and a two-point conversion toward the end of the game in a furious comeback.
As for the food, I’m making some wings (maybe a couple different flavors), some garlic knots you make in a skillet, some hot and cold dips, and chips. It won’t be too much because there will only be my family here, but we are craving some game food.

Other Notes
Not a bad week at all this time around. I got 19 returns and most of those were successes with only 2 failures among them. One of those was a paid return back from Ryne Sandberg so that was definitely a treat.
The failures were from Mark Carrier and Randy Lerch. I got Carrier back out at a new address to try, but that might be a failure too ultimately. As for Lerch, I didn’t see anything worth attempting that was new for him. My stragglers this week were from Dallas Braden on a return I sent to the A’s back in 2023 and interestingly, another team return from Daniel Descalso via the Cardinals last year.
