We’ve got holidays, birthdays, and PTO going on in my world and that is a recipe for cards. First it was my oldest’s birthday last week and then it was Christmas. We both got cards and card related gifts which was nice. We’ve even done a little bit of card opening together – them with their Pokemon and me with my baseball. But I also got a few old boxes of hockey.
In the coming week I have my birthday on Monday, I’m taking PTO on Monday and Tuesday, the holiday Wednesday, and then there’s a card show on Saturday. It’s one I’ve never been too and I think it might be a little bigger than some of the others we have around here – at least I hope so. Time to use some birthday and Christmas money on that.

I finally have a #twofortuesday theme. This time it will be a Milwaukee theme. But another thing with the coming week is that it will be extremely eclectic. The oldest stuff in the backlog covered all the sports I get TTMs for.
Other Notes
Another OK week in the books with 14 successful returns and no failures. I guess considering there was one less mail day that isn’t so bad. But usually a holiday generates another day with a good chunk of returns that boost the totals. I wonder if all the general mail that happens around the holidays impacted me receiving any more. Maybe that will be a really good this week… crossing fingers.
I had two stragglers this week. The longest one was from Doug Simons that was out 549 days and sent in 2023. Then there was another sent in 2023 from Wayne Gross. I actually got back two returns from Wayne, the first being one I sent more recently and then the next day the straggler. Other than that there wasn’t anything for paid returns or anything like that.
