Review / Preview – Week of 11/4

TTM Review Preview

This week we had some fun with Halloween at work. We’re still mostly virtual and since our normally larger team meeting fell on Thursday, we had to have a little costume contest. Not everyone did it, but it was still fun. There was a “Carmie” from The Bear, a hippie, The Little Mermaid (Ariel), a flapper, Beetlejuice, and then there was me….

I broke out something I had done in the past and I did something card related. I was a 1982 Topps Traded Cal Ripken card. Some asked me why I didn’t do anything Mets related. Honestly, it’s mostly around two things: what I have to wear for it that’s “regular clothes” and which card design I can replicate.

I have a Cal “shirsey” that I use and I have a bat, that’s easy. Then I just take a piece of posterboard and I draw the card design. You only need orange, red, and black markers. I do take it a little bit of a step farther and I give some extra backing to it. to it stays looking like a card. If I don’t do that it will bend and rip.

We had some guest judges, but we’re still waiting on official results. I wasn’t the best, but I still had fun doing it.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

I was able to make a #twofortuesday theme last week. The theme was around Pittsburgh and the “Steel City”. So the Pirates and Penguins made appearances. It was also a pretty eclectic week with only football not showing. I did miss posting my Review / Preview for last week late, so that appeared last Monday.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Staying in a Hostetler…
  • Tuesday: The Snider cut…
  • Tuesday: Dave’s not here…
  • Wednesday: Holman, now hit it…
  • Thursday: Take it to the House…
  • Friday: Sax o’ potatoes…
  • Saturday: Stams club…
  • Sunday: In like Clint…

I happened upon another #twofortuesday this week. This time it’s all about the “Queen City” and the Cincinnati Reds will be the flavor of the… Tuesday.

Other Notes

I had another pretty good week last week. After a week of 24 returns, this week I followed it up with a week of 20. I got 18 successes back and two failures. What’s crazy is that pretty much was like four days of the week. I got most of those returns in the first two days of the week.

The failures were from John Rabb and Adam Peterson. I think Peterson was a bit more of a flyer, but Rabb I am not sure about because I saw some somewhat recent successes at the address I used. I didn’t try to reattempt either. As for stragglers, there were none. The only thing over 42 days was Larry Harlow at 159, but I used 200 days out for my stragglers.

The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.

Have a great week!
