There really wasn’t much going on this week. No issues with the mail this week thankfully, but that’s because there was no bad weather. It’s supposed to snow here today so that might normally mean an issue tomorrow, but that’s a holiday so no mail anyway.
I finally was able to find some Allen & Ginter in a Target. I was interested in that set in particular this year because my favorite band, The Bouncing Souls, are featured in the set. I got a couple of the hanger packs and I ended up getting “The Pete”! On top of that it was a mini so that’s cool. Now I am hoping to find some more. I guess I could get a box but then I really need to shop around a bit more to find a good price.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Stanley Morgan
- Tuesday: Gerald Alexander, Jay Aldrich
- Wednesday: Britt Burns
- Thursday: Mark Howe
- Friday: Scott Anderson
- Saturday: Ed Halicki
- Sunday: Mario Mendoza
A mixed week this time around with everything except basketball. My basketball attempts have been slowing down these days, but I think there is still plenty in the backlog because I am dealing with a lot of really old stuff.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Farm boy…
- Tuesday: Gets me all Tingley…
- Tuesday: Moore cowbell…
- Wednesday: Dig Doug…
- Thursday: Had to go to Home Depot to get some McDowells…
- Friday: Bill me…
- Saturday: Dave’s not here…
- Sunday: Skeeter…
There’s a California Angels theme for the #twofortuesday this week. Just continuing through the oldest in the backlog as usual. There’s even a couple in there that have multiple returns from the backlog.
Other Notes
Last week was pretty normal as far as the numbers go. I had 18 returns, and 17 were successful. One thing I am noticing is that in the last month and a half or so I was getting down to the “end” of what I’ve been wanting to send and I needed some refreshing list I had ready for attempts. That means that I’m not sending less attempts, but there is less in each attempt. So what I am getting back are a lot of returns with one or two cards in it.
The failure was from Rich Hand and after looking up more about him, I couldn’t find anything for a new address for him. Other than that there was a return from a school and that was from Jose Cruz, Jr. via Rice University. I’ve seen others getting things back from him recently too. There were no stragglers this week of ver 200 days old.
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
