The Story of the Autograph
Paul Runge is a former infielder in the major leagues. He played from 1981 to 1988 and spent his entire major league career with the Atlanta Braves.
Runge is a native of New York. He went to Jacksonville University in Florida before being drafted in the ninth round of the 1979 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut at the end of the 1981 season on September 25th. He always bounced around between the major leagues and minor leagues throughout his career. In the first three years he played he made it into no more than 10 games.
He played as a utility infielder with time at second, third, and short. Over his eight year career he played in 183 games, hit .232, with four homers and 26 RBI.
After playing he eventually went into coaching and worked for the Braves at different levels. From 1993 to 2010 he worked with the Braves and then moved on to the Astros organization.

Paul did a great job on these cards. I think I like the 1988 Fleer card the best because I like that design. The Topps Big card came out the best, but I am not really fond of those cards. Why? The size of course. What do you store them in? I can’t put them in a binder with my other signatures so that kind of annoys me.
