The Story of the Autograph
Mike Prior is a former safety who played in the NFL from 1985 through 1998. He played with the Buccaneers, Colts, and Packers.
Prior was born and raised in Illinois. He played baseball in high school as well as football and was a center fielder for an Illinois State championship team. He followed that up by attending Illinois State and the Bucs drafted him in 1985 as a seventh round pick.
HE played only one year with the Buccaneers and moved on to Indianapolis from 1987 through 1992. With the Colts he had three different years whhere he had six interceptions and three others where he had three. He also had at least one forced fumble every year and recovered at least one every year.
After playing with the Colts he moved on to Green Bay. This was a great time to be a Packer as he was part of two Super Bowl participants and won one of them. The Packers beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI and Prior was a captain and intercepted a pass. They lost to the Broncos the next year, but it was prior who is part of an all-time Super Bowl highlight. He was the player who hit John Elway at the goal line to send him spinning into the end zone.
The Score on Mike Prior – 7.0
Prior has a really nice flow to his autograph. It’s a really good size too. The way his “M” comes out is pretty cool. I’ve been really happy with the way these Pacific cards have come out lately. They had been smudging a lot but the last few returns on them have been good. Of course, now that I say that I’m sure things will change.
Thanks Mr. Prior! I’m giving this a 7.
