The Story of the Autograph
Mike Baab is a former center in the NFL. He played from 1982 through 1992 with the Browns (in two stints), Patriots and Chiefs.
Baab was born and raised in Texas and after being All-State and All-American in high school, he went to Texas to play with the Longhorns. He was captain of the team and earned All-Southwest Conference and All-American honors while there.
The Cleveland Browns selected Baab int he fifth round of the 1982 NFL Draft. He played there from 1982 through 1987 and then again after his time with the Patriots in 1990 and 1991. After his first season, he started every game he played in while with the Brown and only didn’t start three of the games he played in during his career.
After retiring from football Baab competed in Scottish Highland Games competitions. He won the 45-49 age class in 2005.
The Score on Mike Baab – 6.5
I like how Mike capitalizes both of the “Bs” in his last name. The other thing I like is that the 1991 Pro Set Platinum card might be one of my favorite pictures on a card ever. I feel like there should be more pictures of centers like that but there don’t seem to be. Plus I love that it’s on the dirt of a baseball infield which seem so old school.
Thanks Mr. Baab! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
