After joining the Blue Jays, Johnson became a key part of their pitching staff. In the second half of the 1986 season, he made 15 starts and posted a 3.89 ERA. His efforts helped Toronto in their push for the postseason, though they ultimately fell short. Johnson’s 1987 season proved to be his last in the majors. He made 14appearances (all starts) but struggled to find consistency, finishing with a 5.13 ERA. After that season, injuries and performance issues ended his time in MLB.
Over his three-season MLB career, Joe Johnson appeared in 62 games (58 starts), compiling a 20–18 record with a 4.48 ERA and 149 strikeouts in 327.1 innings pitched. While his time in the majors was short, his contributions were appreciated by the teams he played for and the fans who watched him compete.

Joe did a good job on these cards. I think the 1987 Donruss is my favorite of the two. What I like most about his signature is the replication of the “Js”. I always like it when that helps out a signature.
