The Story of the Autograph
Jimmy Kremers is a former catcher in the major leagues. He played during the 1990 season for the Atlanta Braves.
Kremers was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. He went on to attend the University of Arkansas and while he was there he was drafted twice. The first time was by the Cincinnati Reds in the eighth round of the 1987 MLB Draft but he didn’t sign. The second was by the Braves in the second round of the 1988 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut two years later on June 5, 1990.
He only played during that one season and made it into 29 games. He hit .110 in 79 plate appearances with one home run, two RBI, a double and a triple. The following season he was part of a trade to the Montreal Expos in exchange for Otis Nixon. Nixon would be a key part of the Braves 1991 NL Championship squad, stealing 72 bases for them.
Kremers would continue to play for several years but would never play in the majors again.
The Score on Jimmy Kremers – 6.5
This is a pretty solid return from Jimmy. There really isn’t much too his signature but the card gives a good place for him to sign and this era of Upper Deck cards always come out well. It almost looks like he is just writing “John” on the card.
Thanks Mr. Kremers! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
