The Story of the Autograph
Jerry Browne is a former second baseman who played major league baseball from 1986 through 1995. During that time he played for the Rangers, Indians, Athletics, and Marlins.
In the first half of his career he played exclusively at second base with the Rangers and Indians. In the second half of his career he played all over the diamond. In 1992, while with the A’s, he played every outfield and infield position except for first (in addition to DH).
His best year was probably 1989 with Cleveland and he got the most time to play in his career. In 153 games he hit .299 with five home runs and 45 RBI. He had career highs the next year with the Indians in homers (6) and RBI (50), but he average was 30+ points lower.
The Score on Jerry Browne – 5.0
Jerry has a good autograph but it is a bit small. It came out pretty well on almost all these cards though. There is a slight smudge on a couple that definitely hurt the score a bit. My favorite card is the 1992 Upper Deck because he’s blowing a bubble while playing.
Thanks Mr. Browne! I’m giving this return a 5.
