The Story of the Autograph
Doug Bird is a former major league pitcher who worked as both a starter and a reliever from 1973 to 1983. During that time he played for the Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, and Boston Red Sox.

Yeah so, I have an addiction. Some of these are doubles from Doug. But I just can’t resist sending these out. He always has a nice and big signature but cards like the ’78 Topps are just so busy. I think it’s interesting when guys number some and then don’t on others. I guess he spent the most time with the Royals though so maybe that was important to him there.
