December 2018 somehow ended up being a good month. Usually I use 30 returns as my guage for if it’s been a good month. If I am getting more than that then I am averaging out to one per day. My overall successful returns for the month were at 29 so that’s just under what I like to see. There were 91 cards in those 29 returns so that’s a pretty good number too.
But the overall feel to me felt like I wasn’t getting much of anything which is kind of a continuation of what November felt like. The one thing I don’t like about social media is that I see others getting successes from guys I’ve sent to and when I don’t get them back it feels a bit off. But with getting those returns across 15 days maybe it was kind of all or nothing and that’s why it felt that way.
It was a month for some long returns with seven more than 100 days out, three more than 200 days out, and two more than 300 days out. The 300 days out were Spring Training successes which are always nice to get late in the year. It gives you the feeling of starting to get ready for the next Spring Training.
I only received back two failures. One was DeMarcus Ware who I tried since he is one the Broncos staff but that came back really quickly. And then Steve Kemp came back and I think I need to check the address on that.
I’ll be recapping the year soon and also putting together my goals for 2019. I hope everyone has a great 2019! Happy new year!
