The Story of the Autograph
Chris Zorich is a former defensive tackle in the NFL. He played for the Chicago Bears from 1991 through 1996 and then the Washington Redskins in 1997.
Zorich was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He played football on scholarship at Notre Dame. A linebacker to start his college career, he was moved to nose tackle and didn’t play much. He was an All-American the next year and finished the year third in tackles on an undefeated team that won the National Championship. He continued his greatness in college winning the Lombardi award twice and was voted Lineman of the Year as a junior.
The Bears drafted him in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft with the 49th overall pick. He was an alternate for the Pro Bowl in 1993. That year he had 121 tackles, seven of them sacks. Before his career closed out he moved on to the Redskins to play one year.
After football he went back to earn a Juris Doctor degree at Notre Dame and established the Chris Zorich Foundation.
The Score on Chris Zorich – 6.0
Chris has a signature that has a lot of action, yet not a lot of action. I say that because it looks kind of crazy but there isn’t too much to it in the end. It came out great on that Pacific card. It’s so funny to see the style of the jersey on that card from back in the day.
Thanks Mr. Zorich! I’m giving this one a 6.
