The Story of the Autograph
Chris Jacke was a placekicker in the NFL for 11 seasons. He’s best known as a Green Bay Packer where he spend the first part, and vast majority, of his career (from 1989 through 1996). But he also played games with the Redskins and Cardinals toward the end of his career.
Chris went to school at UTEP and was drafted by the Packers in the sixth round of the 1989 NFL Draft. He spent those first eight seasons with the Packers and ended his time there with a highlight. He was part of a team that went 13-3 and then won Super Bowl XXXI against the New England Patriots. He was First-Team All-Pro with the Packers in 1993. That year e went 6 for 7 for field goals longer than 50 yards.
He signed with Pittsburgh as a free agent the next year but never played an official game with them. He was injured during training came and the Steelers cut him. Later that season he played with the Redskins for one game. He finished his career up in Arizona with the Cardinals.
The Score on Chris Jacke – 5.5
Chris has a good autograph. The best part of it is that it’s large. You can tell that he signs the first bit slower than the last because of how the marker comes out. He’s whipping it around once he gets to his last name and the marker gets a little light when that happens. But again, it’s good size and it came out great on the Pacific card especially. I find that card interesting because how many cards of placekicks have them by themselves on the card. It seems like you are bound to have another player (like the holder) on there.
Thanks Mr. Jacke! These get a 5.5.
