The Story of the Autograph
Bruce Kozerski is a former center in the NFL. He played from 1984 to 1995 and spent his entire career in Cincinnati with the Bengals.
Kozerski is a Pennsylvania native. He went to Holy Cross for college and was amajor in Physics. He would later get his master’s in teaching from Xavier University. The Bengals selected him with a ninth round pick in the 1984 NFL Draft.
He only started one game in his first season in the NFL, but by 1986 he was a regular starter. He became known as Mr. Versatile by the end of his career because he would play at guard and tackle in those last years.
After retiring from the NFL he became a high school physics, pre-calc, and calculus teacher at Holy Cross High School in Covington, Kentucky. He is also the head football coach there and led the team to a state championship in 2011.
The Score on Bruce Kozerski – 6.5
Bruce did a good job putting some size into his signature on these. The hard part is that the images on these cards are so busy that the signature can cut through everything that’s going on. The 1991 Fleer Ultra cards also look like they didn’t take the marker as well as the others.
Thanks Mr. Kozerski! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
