The Story of the Autograph
Brad Arnsberg is a former pitcher in the major leagues who mostly pitched in relief. He played from 1986 through 1992 with the Yankees, Rangers and Indians.
Arnsberg was born in Washington and raised in Oregon. He was drafted in the first round of the 1983 draft with the 9th overall pick. He made his debut on September 6, 1986. He only pitched in eight games over his first two season that he appeared in the major with three games started. After the 1987 season Arnsberg was traded to the Rangers as the player to be named later in a trade that send Don Slaught to New York about a week prior to that.
He wouldn’t appear again until 1989 with Texas, this time making 16 appearances. 1990 would be his biggest and best year. He appeared in 53 games in relief with five saves and a 3.91 ERA. He played his last game on April 23, 1993 for the Indians.
Arnsberg late worked as a pitching coach for the Expos, Marlins, in the Blue Jays system and then for the Astros. These days he works with the Diamondbacks.
The Score on Brad Arnsberg – 7.5
I really like Brad’s loopy signature. He used a great marker and all these are of really good quality. But maybe the best part is that he used a black pen for his Yankees card and a blue pen for his Rangers cards. I really love it when guys do that because it’s such a nice touch.
Thanks Mr. Arnsberg! I’m giving this return a 7.5.
