The Story of the Autograph
Trevor Wilson is a former starting pitcher in the major leagues. He played eight seasons between 1988 and 1998 for the San Francisco Giants and Anaheim Angels.
Wilson was born in California but was raised in Oregon. He enrolled at Oregon State to play baseball but never made it that far. He elected to turn pro after one term before baseball season ever started. The Giants drafted him in the eighth round of the 1985 Draft.
He made his major league debut in the last month of the 1988 season on September 5th. He was part of some really good Giants teams. His best year was 1991 when he went 13-11 with a with a 3.56 ERA. But in the end he suffered a lot of injuries at the end of his career. He didn’t play for three out of the last five years of his baseball career because of injuries.
After his playing days he worked as a minor league pitching coach.
The Score on Trevor Wilson – 6.0
Trevor has a bit of a standard signature but I like the kind of quirky nature of his “W”. It’s not just how he writes it but also where he puts it. He put’s the year as part of his signature which I’ve seen a few guys do. I’m not exactly sure of the reason for that, but he signed my cards so I’m happy.
Thanks Mr. Wilson! I’m giving this return a 6.
