November is a month of birthdays in my family. My dad, my brother and my grandfather all have birthdays in the beginning half of the month. With my dad and grandfather both no longer with us, its always a time that I spend thinking about them even more than other times of the year.
Both my dad and grandfather loved baseball. Dad made me a Mets fan, but it was Pop who really made me love the game and love the stats. He taught me how to score a game and really how to follow it both within a game but also within a season. Maybe even more importantly how to think about the game with a historical perspective.
Something I took time to do this week was look back at some old Mets scorebooks that had Pop’s scoring in there. Sure, they are great to see in general, but seeing the scores in pencil was the best part for me.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

No #twofortuesday theme last week. Still just getting things out of the oldest of the backlog I have. It’s still growing actually, even through some of these bad weeks I am having.
The Preview

I’ve got another Oakland A’s #twofortuesday theme this week. I had another one of those recently but this one happened to just come up from the oldest stuff in the back log.
Other Notes
I was back to a down week again this week. I only got back 11 returns. Thankfully all of those were successes. Maybe not my absolute worst week recently, but not great.
That said, I got a great paid return back from Lou Whitaker. I had been wanting to send to him for a while and I finally got some funds together to do that. Of course I always had the cards. Other than that, no stragglers or anything like that. I did get a team return though from Terry Porter via the Trail Blazers.
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
