The Story of the Autograph
Jim Kern is a former relief pitcher and closer in the major leagues. The right-hander was a three-time All-Star during a career that spanned from 1974 to 1986. During that time he played for the Cleveland Indians (twice), Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Milwaukee Brewers.

This is one of the best returns I’ve gotten back from Jim. He always has a big signature, but in this return he used a good think blue marker that was really strong. In the past he’s signed with thinner markers. I think my favorite of this bunch are the Rangers cards because they go with the blue ink, but of those the 1982 Topps card is the best to me.
